Dr. Schwartz’s Biography

Born and raised in Montreal, Canada, Dr. Schwartz’s record of academic and professional achievement spans both coasts. He graduated summa cum laude from Yale University and was awarded a Regents Scholarship for academic excellence at UCLA School of Medicine.
Dr. Schwartz went on to find continued success as he completed residency in general surgery at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center in Los Angeles. During this period, he devoted two years to full-time research in plastic surgery. This ultimately led to his selection for the plastic surgery residency at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas, widely regarded as one of the top programs in the world.
Based in Dallas, Dr. Schwartz is licensed and certified in Texas and California, and has emerged as a destination surgeon for patients across the United States who are seeking the highest level of care and individual attention.
Dr. Schwartz’s humorous and empathetic bedside manner is showcased on “Plastic Surgery Today,” his popular radio show on Free-FM Live 105.3, which also attracts listeners nationwide via internet stream and podcast. He appears regularly on Dallas/Fort Worth television and has served as a national expert for shows including America at Night, The Yolanda Gaskins Show, The Marty Griffin Show, The Popoff Report and The Debbie Mandel Show.
Dr. Schwartz has authored more than a dozen articles published in professional journals and speaks frequently speaks to professional groups on plastic surgery. He is certified by both the American Board of Plastic Surgery and the American Board of Surgery. He is a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, the American Medical Association, and the American College of Surgeons.
