When I read Internet discussions about breast augmentation incisions, the focus is always on the scar. “Which incision will give the best scar?” “Where’s the best place to have the scar?” “Which is the easiest scar to hide?” All of these are reasonable concerns but, in truth, these are rarely the issues in choosing the incision.

This 22-year-old was self-conscious about her protruding ears. I corrected this by suturing the cartilage to create missing folds and pull the ears closer to the head. The scars are hidden behind the ears.

This 37-year-old complained that her face had aged in the last few years. Most notably, her cheeks had sagged dramatically giving her face a flattened, tired appearance. I performed an Endotine midface lift to lift the sagging cheek tissue back up in front of the cheek bones. This restored her facial shape to the look she had in her twenties. Despite diet and exercise, this 25-year-old was unable to get rid of her abdominal fat, especially below the belly button. Using microcannula liposuction, I removed 400 cc of fat from this area. This gave her the smooth, flat tummy she wanted.

Your plastic surgeon lays out a bunch of breast implants on the table in front of you. He asks you which size you like. You point to your favorite. That’s the implant he uses. Do you get the result you were hoping for? Not very likely.
I am stunned and amazed that anyone actually does this. Yet I see it on plastic surgery TV shows. And I’ve heard of it being done here in Dallas. It does not work.

I’m extremely pleased with the results and how everything turned out. Dr. Schwartz is such an amazing surgeon. His eye for detail and artistic ability is truly a work of art on the human body. The image he gave me is one that I could never have sculpted in the gym. I finally feel like a woman. And for that I am tremendously grateful for.
